Hello, I am Cindi Hill. This is my 9th year at Quest Academy. My first six years with Quest Academy, I was privileged to work in special education and intervention K-5. I have spent the last 2 years in 1st grade. I have been involved with DIBELS testing for several of those years and have been part of the Child Study Team. As much as I loved 1st grade, I am so excited to be in Kindergarten this year. What a dream come true.
My husband Ryan and I have been married for 21 years. We have two wonderful children who both attended Quest Academy in their elementary school years. Our son Ryker graduated High School this last year from Fremont High School and will be leaving in September on a 2 year mission to Portland, OR. Our Daughter is 15 years old and will being attending Fremont High School this year as a sophomore.
I enjoy traveling, reading, crafting, movies, and playing games with friends and family. I love theater popcorn, I don’t enjoy cooking, and I would love to learn to play the piano someday. I love life and all that it gives us.
I am so excited to get started on this upcoming school year and see all that these little ones are going to achieve!
I’m Stacey McBride, and I’m thrilled about being able to work in kindergarten at Quest Academy. For over 25 years, I have had the privilege of working with kids. I’ve loved their enthusiasm for life and their thirst for knowledge. Because of my love for children, I decided to go back to school and finish my education degree. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a specialization in ESL (English as a Second Language) from Weber State University.
For several years, I have also owned and operated my own preschool and have loved every minute of it. I’ve been married to my amazing husband and best friend for over 20 years and have loved being a mom to my three beautiful children. I enjoy camping with my family, being outdoors, watching movies, reading a good book, and most of all… traveling.
I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to teach children in other parts of the world, serving with an international humanitarian group. As the education mentor in Thailand and Peru, I was able to help give these children and their families the educational tools that will assist them in getting out of poverty. I’m looking forward to getting to know the students in my new class, and starting our new learning adventures together.
Hello friends, my name is Ashlyn Sampson.
I have grown up in the West Haven area since I was 8 years old. After I graduated from Fremont High School, I attended Dixie State University.
My favorite things in the whole world are Chick-Fil-a, dancing (even when there is no music), my family, haunted houses, my soon to be husband Brayden Sampson, and cute friends I like to call Kindergarteners.
This is my second year at Quest. My first year I had the wonderful opportunity to teach coding in the STEM lab. I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year. I believe that learning is fun, so my goal this year is to teach them exactly that. I also believe that it is good to be different and expressing who you are is even better. My goal this year is to give them all the tools they need to be successful learners, to embrace all our differences and to have fun. I can’t wait to meet you all. This is going to be a great year!

This is Mrs. Knight's (Miss Ferrin) second year teaching here at Quest Academy! She attended school at Southern Utah University for two years (GO T-BIRDS) and then finished up her last year here at Weber State University. She received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in art education and she has had many opportunities to teach different grade levels, but has always had a love for teaching first grade. She married Josh, her junior high crush, on August 2 of this year. Together they enjoy hiking, camping, riding dirt bikes, playing tennis, going on road trips, and spending time with family.
Mrs. Knight loves reading, and music. She enjoys playing her guitar and ukulele and she absolutely LOVES french toast, Chinese food, and pizza. She is a firm believer in making learning fun in the classroom and hopes to teach in a way that students get excited about learning. She is so excited to meet all of you! Mrs. Knight has such a passion for teaching and is looking forward to continuing her teaching career here at Quest Academy. Our adventure starts here!
I met my forever love my senior year of high school at a Jazz Basketball game. We will celebrate our 24th anniversary this September. Our home has been blessed with three beautiful, talented children. Taylor is 23 working on his Bachelor’s degree at Weber. McKenzee will turn 20 this September and is going to school for culinary arts. Connor turns 15 in August and will be in 9th grade at Q2. Our family also gained another daughter, Mady, with the marriage of our oldest son two years ago, whom we adore.
I have a passion for education! My love of teaching began at a very young age. I love seeing the children’s face light up when they grasp a new concept! Education runs deep for me. My father, two aunts, my sister, my brother, and I are all educators. I’m so excited to be returning to teach first grade at Quest this year! Quest is truly the best!
Soccer is our family’s sport of choice. If we are not at home, odds are that we can be found on a soccer field.
I enjoy traveling, seeing new things, reading, playing the piano, crafting, camping, watching movies, and cooking, entertaining, baking, and playing games with my family, as well as friends. I absolutely LOVE going to the movies. My favorite movies are those based on historical events and places. I have a deep love for history and have a lot of historical places on my bucket list to visit. I LOVE chocolate and I LOVE diet Dr. Pepper! I LOVE shopping for school resources for my students to use in our classroom. I love shopping for cool learning resources on Amazon! Some of my other favorites are TeachersPayTeachers, Really Good Stuff, Lakeshore Learning, and Oriental Trading Education to name just a few.
I'm excited to get to know my class this year and be able to facilitate in the learning experiences.
Mrs. Teichert is excited to enter her fifth year teaching 1st grade at Quest Academy because she enjoys sharing her love of math and science with young, bright minds.
After graduating from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Mrs. Teichert taught 4th and 5th grade for five years before starting her own family. During her time away from the classroom she kept her teaching license active and pursued an endorsement in math and is currently working on a S.T.E.M endorsement.
Math and science are “in her blood” as she fondly remembers taking science trips with her dad’s High School Biology classes and doing science experiments at home or learning about the night sky with him through their hand made telescope. She loves to see her students find the same joy in learning and growing!
Spending time with her family is probably her favorite activity, along with traveling, reading, and staying active. Her newest adventure has been participating in mini triathlons and hopes to work up to some bigger ones.
I met my husband online 8 years ago and will be celebrating our 8th year of marriage in October. Together we have a mix of 9 kids and 19 grandkids. One of my favorite things to do is spend time with family (especially my grandkids), and friends. I really love doing just about anything as long as we are together! I also love to travel, go camping, to the movies or live theater, work on my yard and garden, read or listen to Audible books.
I lived in Europe for four years, and have lived in multiple states in the US. With each move, I learned so many wonderful things like “Family” doesn’t just mean the one you’re born into.
I graduated from Utah State University with two Bachelor of science degrees, one in early childhood education, the other in elementary education. I also earned an emphasis in music while working on my bachelor degrees. Since graduating from USU, I received my ELS endorsement from Weber State and, I am currently making preparations to complete my reading endorsement from USU.
When I was young I liked to “Play Teacher” with the neighborhood kids and couldn’t wait to be a teacher when I “Grew Up” just like my mom. Yes, my mom was a teacher too, as well as an uncle, and several cousins (Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Ingersoll). I guess you could say being an educator runs in our blood, and that I’m living my dream.
I am so passionate about teaching, and love learning with, and from my young students. I truly believe there aren’t many careers that have such a huge impact on the future than that of a teacher!

Hello, my darling friends!
My name is Ryanne Saunders and I am happy to be teaching at Quest Academy.
This is going to be a wonderful year!
Here is a little bit about me.
I graduated from Fremont High School and continued my education at Southern Utah University. There I was able to satisfy my love for learning, hiking, and snowboarding as much as possible.
I am a certified Scuba Diver, and a lover of anything that involves water, and nature. When I have a free moment, I am traveling the world, fighting danger, and learning magic. (Reading a book!)
I have wanted to be a teacher all of my life. In fact, in my room sits a picture of me teaching my stuffed animals how to read when I was 6 years old.
I am beyond excited to be living my dream, which is to prepare young people to be able to live their dreams someday!
One of my favorite quotes is this,
“The best teachers are those who show you where to look, but not what to see.”
-Alexandra K. Trenfor
Hello, my name is Lindsey Smith. I received my education from Weber State University. I love Quest Academy and the amazing resources our school offers. Second grade rocks! I really enjoy teaching second graders; it truly is the best grade. My favorite thing is when I see the “light bulb” – when a student understands a new concept. I love teaching my kiddos new things. My goal as an educator is to instill a love of learning.
I have lived in the Ogden area my entire life. I enjoy traveling and seeing new places; doing yoga; hiking in the summer; and snowboarding, skiing, & snowshoeing in the winter (winter is my favorite season). I love reading and am always open to getting book recommendations.
Hi, I am Mrs. Woodrow. This will be my fourth year at Quest Academy. I have received my education from Western Governors University. I have worked with kids for many years, as a teacher, mentor, and tutor. I love second grade and spending my days with these fun, loving, and energetic kids.
My goal as an educator is to create a fun and safe learning environment. All students deserve a quality education. The classroom will be a place where students feel comfortable to share their thoughts and get involved in their learning. I have a great love for children and education. Children are all like little sponges ready to absorb all they can. I will strive to fill their “sponges” everyday with knowledge.
In my personal life, I am married with two little boys. What I love most is spending time with my family. We love to do anything outdoors such as hunting, fishing, camping, etc. I love to cook and be creative!
This is my seventh year working at Quest Academy. I love this school and the sense of community it brings. I previously worked with Kindergarten through fifth grade students in the intervention program for three years. I was also a support teacher in a third grade classroom. I’ve enjoyed working with Special Education and struggling learners. I’ve also participated on the DIBELS testing team as well as the Child Study Team and enjoyed being a director for the school musical. I was fortunate enough to settle into 2nd and am looking forward to my third year on the 2nd grade team. I am so excited to be teaching second graders! They are so eager to learn and I love seeing them progress.
I have been married for 18 years to my best friend and we have three amazing kids. I have two high schoolers and a seventh grader attending Quest. We love to travel and spend time together.
3rd Grade Teachers
Hi! I’m Amanda Alexander, and this will be my seventh year of teaching, and second year at Quest. I am so excited about getting to know each of you and I am looking forward to all of the wonderful experiences I get to share with you all throughout the coming year.
I was born and raised in west Texas, and I love my great state. I chose to attend Texas Tech University where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development and Education. I have taught students in Pre-K, 2nd, and 3rd in Florida and Georgia. In 2008, we moved to Japan and I chose to stay home to raise my young children while living overseas. After our time in Japan was over, we moved to Oklahoma briefly, and then we made it to the beautiful state of Utah. In 2016, I received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Walden University. Having the opportunity to teach at Quest has been amazing and I am so happy to be part of this team!
We are a military family, which explains the moving around. My husband is a Major in the Air Force, and we have been married for 14 years. We have three children who all attend and love Quest! In our spare time, we love to camp, go hiking, and you are sure to find us on a mountain somewhere skiing anytime there is snow on the ground. All of our family is from Texas, so we take advantage of any break from school to go and visit. As a family, we love to travel and explore. We recently traveled to Spain, Germany, and Morocco. I LOVE watching football- college (Go Red Raiders!) and professional (Go Patriots!). I also love to play golf, do yard work, read, and watch movies with my family.
Here is to an incredible year!
Work hard, be kind!
I was born and raised in Bountiful, Utah and I am the fourth of six kids. I have lived in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Alaska. I am the favorite aunt to 21 nieces and nephews, so I keep finding my way back to Utah. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Weber State University in Elementary Education and my Master’s degree from Western Governors University in Learning and Technology. This is my fifth year at Quest teaching third grade!
I enjoy spending time with my family, reading a good book, riding my bike, anything that has to do with the ocean, and if I could, I would live at Disneyland. I always have a Coke Zero handy and Peanut M&Ms are my favorite treat. I love my 14-and-a-half-year-old dog, Charlie the Pug, even if he does look like a pig.
I am looking forward to getting to know all of the amazing students and parents in our class. This is going to be a great year of learning!

I will be teaching 3rd grade this year and I couldn't be more thrilled! I'm excited to help the children grow and become amazing young people. My goal is to create a safe learning environment where students feel they can share their ideas and learn from each other. I want every child to experience that feeling of success!
In my spare time I like to have fun with my family by going boating, camping, playing board games, attending plays, and target shooting. I love to read and learn new things. I'm so excited for this school year and can't wait to get to know your children!!
I was born in Greenville, South Carolina. I lived in both South Carolina and Georgia while growing up. My parents and brother's family now reside in Utah as well. I attended Erskine College in Due West, SC and received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I moved to Ogden, Utah about 14 years ago to begin my teaching career. I taught 9 years in the Ogden School District at Grandview Elementary and Shadow Valley Elementary. I had the opportunity to teach kindergarten for 3 years and 2nd grade for 6 years. I had a great experience, but I was excited and ready for a new adventure here at Quest Academy! I've been here at Quest teaching third grade five years. Third grade is going to be so much fun this year! It is the best grade EVER!!! I can't wait to meet all the students and their families!
I enjoy reading, being active outdoors, working out at the gym, pool time, traveling, going out to dinner and movies, and spending time with friends and family. My brother lives in Ogden also, and I am very close with his children. I spend a lot of my free time hanging out with my niece and nephew. They are my heart! Here are some other important things about me: Café Rio is the best restaurant ever! Frozen yogurt makes me very happy! I eat peanut butter out of the jar with a spoon. I am obsessed with painting my nails! I will almost always have them done. I love shopping!!!! I played college softball. I always try my very best, and I challenge my students to do the same! 🙂
Hi! I am Miss Young and I love everything about third grade! I have been part of the Quest Academy team for five years and I love my job and my fabulous team! I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities with an Art History emphasis. I earned my teaching certification and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Weber State University. Learning has always been one of my favorite things. I hope that I have many more opportunities to continue my education in the future.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family and friends, preferably by the ocean! I love to snorkle, scuba dive, and just hang out at the beach. I have always loved trying new things and going to new places.
4th Grade Teachers
Hello, students and parents! Fourth grade is an exciting time when students are beginning to read and understand more complex ideas, thinking independently, and learning to work with other students on large projects. I am so lucky to be able to teach fourth graders, and I love teaching at Quest Academy!
I graduated from Weber State University, and I owned a state licensed daycare for 7 years that had over 200 kids enrolled. I have worked at Good Foundations Academy and Ogden Preparatory Academy charter schools. I also worked at WSU in the First Year Experience Program. I am a strong believer in education, and I was the first person in my family to go to college. I also have a background in graphic design, so I am a bit of a techie.
Something interesting about me is that I am also a professional abstract artist, and I paint on large canvases that I build myself. I have had some paintings published, and my art can be seen in local galleries from time to time. I have also painted murals at elementary schools in Ogden.
I love bright colors, flowers, math, and travel. I studied art in Venice, Italy. I have also travelled all over India. I have two fabulous kids of my own, an amazing husband, and two dogs.
Well, that’s a little bit about me. I can’t wait to connect with all you parents and great fourth graders. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
Angie Clark lives in Hooper with her husband and five wonderful children. All of her children have attended Quest Academy, and her family has been involved with Quest since before the school opened.
Mrs. Clark received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Weber State University in 2005. Mrs. Clark loves children and has discovered a deep passion for education. She loves to bring her energy, enthusiasm, and creativity into the classroom to inspire the minds and hearts of her students. She is honored to be a teacher and is grateful for the chance to help her students' natural talents and abilities emerge and develop through the educational process.
When she’s not teaching, Mrs. Clark loves spending time with her family and friends, cycling, gardening, and just about anything that allows her to engage her creativity and bring beauty to her home and surroundings.
Mrs. Hadley earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Weber State University. She holds a Level 2 Educator License from the State of Utah and is in her ninth year teaching. Previously, she taught third grade at Hooper Elementary and is currently teaching fourth grade at Quest Academy. Mrs. Hadley loves all subjects, but teaching math using a variety of methods, manipulatives and activities is her favorite.
Mrs. Hadley lives in Syracuse with her wonderful husband Trent, and three precious children Jocelyn, Cianna, and Jensen. The girls are attending Legacy Junior High and Jensen is a fifth grade student at Quest Academy. Mrs. Hadley enjoys vacationing with them at the happiest place on earth - Bear Lake! She loves crafting, decorating, and re-purposing items found during thrift shopping. Above all, she loves reading and most nights prefers it to sleeping.
Quest is the best! I look forward to another great year at Quest Academy. I love teaching fourth graders! A little information on me – I received my bachelor’s in elementary education from Montana State University – Billings with a minor in special education. I received a master’s degree in education at Weber State University. Prior to coming to Quest I taught for Weber School District and taught for a short time in Louisiana.
I wanted to be a teacher as long as I can remember. I care about each student in my class. I like to see young people grow and learn. I hope they become life-long learners. My other wish for them is to develop a love of reading. I have an interest in helping each student become the best possible learner and person that they can be.
I am a wife and mother of two wonderful girls. One recently graduated from high school, and the other in 11th grade. My husband also teaches at Quest in Q2. He tells me that I inspired him to get his teaching degree once he retired from the US Air Force after 20 years. Fun facts: I have four cats (Gypsy, Azrael, Penny, and Jazz). I like to crochet in my free time. I am fluent in sign language.
5th Grade Teachers
I am excited to be teaching the 5th grade. I have been at Quest for a number of years as both a parent and an employee and have loved both sides. I grew up in Harrisville as the youngest of seven. I currently live in Farr West with my husband and two sons. We have a small farm where my boys raise pigs and lambs for the Weber County Fair and have their own egg business. I love living on a farm where my kids can learn how to perform hard work and receive the benefits from it.
This will be my fifth year as a teacher at Quest. I originally started at the Jr. High and have since moved over to the Elementary. I have enjoyed both schools and value the experiences from teaching in different grades. I originally received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Resources. I continued my education by receiving my teaching certificate along with a Masters Degree in Education from Western Governors University.
When I am not teaching or thinking about teaching, which isn't very often, I enjoy many different activities. This last summer my family and I have enjoyed 4-wheeling. At home I like to sew, garden and hang out with my family. I do like to cook on occasion and have set a goal to be able to make homemade bread and cookies, that don't go flat. I have yet to accomplish this, but am still giving it a good try! I would love any recipes you might want to share to help me achieve this goal.
I teach my children that they can do hard things and I try and follow the same advice.
I am looking forward to a great year at a great school!
I am happy to be at Quest Academy teaching fifth grade again this year! I was born in South Ogden, Utah and currently reside in West Haven with my family, although I have previously lived in Idaho and California. I have been married to my best friend for twenty years and we have four beautiful children together. When our oldest daughter got married two years ago, we gained another son. I also have one dog and three cats. I love animals! I enjoy cooking, reading, hiking, and running. Whenever I have the opportunity, I like to travel. I have visited several countries, experienced many wonderful cultures, and explored numerous historical sites. My favorite country to visit was Thailand, known as the “Land of Smiles.” It is an absolutely beautiful place and while I was there, I was able to meet many students during visits to two elementary schools and a university. No matter where I go, however, Utah will always be home to me. I received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in fine arts through Weber State University. As an educator, my goal is to instill a love of learning within all of my students and to help them to achieve their goals.
I am so excited to be teaching at Quest Academy this year! I graduated from Weber State University with my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. This year will be my seventh year teaching elementary school!!
I decided at a young age that when I grew up I wanted to work with children. Children are our future, and years ago I wanted to be part of something great. It wasn’t too much of a surprise while attending Weber State University that I had my teaching license before I knew it.
I enjoy being outside in nature by hiking in the mountains or gardening in my yard. I enjoy being mentally aware by a regular yoga practice, juicing my fruits and vegetables, and playing the piano. I enjoy tapping into my creative side by painting, taking photographs, and cooking new recipes. My biggest addiction right now just happens to be CLIPART! Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my charming husband; he is my best friend.
I look forward to a successful and wonderful school year. I am so excited and grateful for the opportunity to teach at Quest. I will give my 5th Grade class everything I have this year.
I am so excited to spend my days in 5th grade again this year! I can't wait to get to know my fabulous students, as we learn and grow together. I have two children in high school, both of whom attended Quest Academy and loved their time here. As a family, we enjoy camping, hiking, ATV riding, and boating. I am an avid reader, and love to disappear into the world of a good book. I believe that books can open up new worlds to children, and engage their imaginations in a way that media simply can’t do. I always bring my love of literature into the classroom, giving plenty of opportunity for students to read and explore new things.
I am so excited to start my 2nd year teaching at Quest Academy. I previously taught in WSD for 13 years in many areas and grades. I began my love for teaching and education early from the example that my two parents set, as they were both teachers. I saw education from their eyes, then from the side of a special education aide in Ogden District, where I worked while obtaining my Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education. I was also able to see the point of view of a long term substitute while working in the secondary level at Mount Ogden Middle School. I obtained my level 2 license from the state of Utah. I am currently working on my Reading Endorsement and my STEM endorsement. I hope that I NEVER get tired of learning and growing. I also hope to challenge my students with that everyday! My dreams are to continue my education for my Masters in Education and Science. Then hopefully to reach the college level of teaching. Either helping new teachers to find their passions or discover the "Wonder" that is Science.
I have lived in Utah my whole life from North Ogden, South Ogden, Washington Terrace, and currently reside in West Haven. My husband, Casey, and I have 3 wonderful children Tristan, Wesson, and Catelynn who attend Quest Academy too. I also have two older step daughters that enjoy the high school at Venture. When I am not teaching or wrangling my own children, I love musicals, singing, acting, and a good movie is never short from the list. I traveled a lot in my younger years, but now I keep to the adventures and beauty of nature around me. There is so much to do in this life we have been given. I can't wait to see the changes and challenges in the years to come and enjoy every minute of it! 5th grade is an amazing curriculum. I can't wait to guide my students in their learning this year through 3 Dimensional learning style, and deeper knowledge of each subject area. Quest is an amazing school that provides their teachers with great resources and tools to use to help them achieve the highest level of learning in the curriculum set by the state of Utah for each of their students. So in the words of Mama Mia... "Here we Go Again!"
