What’s up everyone? My name is Derick Roskelley and I am pumped for my sixth year at Quest Academy! I look forward to teaching 8th and 9th Grade Physical Education, teaching Health 1 and Health 2 and handling Athletic Director duties for our amazing school.

This will be my sixth year coaching Quest Cross Country and our Girl’s team are back to back OSD Region Champions (2020-2021) with our Boys winning a championship (2020) and owning a 2nd place finish in multiple seasons. We have some tough runners at Quest and I look forward to challenging Mount Ogden every fall with our awesome kids!

This will be my fourth year as the Quest Boy’s Basketball Head Coach after showcasing our boys in 3 consecutive Championship appearances winning back to back OSD Boys Basketball Championships in 2021 and 2022.

I graduated from Morgan High School and had the opportunity to play baseball in Kansas and travel the Midwest during my early years of college. I missed the mountains and fishing and transferred back to Weber State University. I graduated in 2011, Majoring in Physical Education and Minoring in Health Promotion. Following student teaching at Ogden High School, I worked in the Ogden School District as a Health and Physical Education specialist while coaching baseball at Ogden High. With a talented coaching staff we turned a 0 win team at Ogden into a .500 team in a tough Region 5 in just three short years. Our countless hours of work were rewarded with the opportunity to coach the 2012 3A All-Star game at Lindquist Field.

I LOVE coaching, teaching, and pushing students and athletes to become their very best on and off of the field. I enjoy teaching students how to compete properly and have fun while doing so. Sportsmanship is an important part of my classroom management.
