Born in New Hampshire but now happily rooted in Utah, I started student teaching in 3rd grade at Quest in 2022. After three years teaching 5th grade, I discovered my true passion: helping students think mathematically. There's something magical about that lightbulb moment when a concept clicks.

I earned my teaching degree at Western Governors University and am now pursuing my Master's in Mathematical Education there, diving deep into how to make math meaningful and less intimidating. When I'm not in the classroom, you'll find me sewing, swimming, or napping. I'm a mom of one girl and three boys, which keeps life wonderfully chaotic and full of learning opportunities. Purple is my favorite color. It's bold, creative, and it just feels right, though I have a soft spot for green too.

This year, I'm teaching the Q2 math lab, a new position where I work with small groups of struggling students, blending my classroom experience with my passion for making math meaningful. Alopecia taught me early that confidence looks good on anyone—something I want my students to feel too. I see math as an opportunity to build real confidence and help students recognize themselves as capable problem-solvers.
