Title l

Title I Purpose

Title I was initially passed in 1965 under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). It is the largest federal assistance program for our nation’s schools. These supplemental funds provide students with the opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and help to close educational achievement gaps.

Title I Goals

  1. Assist students in achieving academic success
  2. Increase student performance through continuous schoolwide improvement
  3. Provide high-quality family and parent engagement opportunities to assist parents in helping their students succeed

Targeted Assistance Program

Quest is a Targeted Assistance School.  Schools with less than 40% poverty must use the Title I Targeted Assistance model. Title I funds are targeted to serve those students who are identified as failing, or most at risk of failing to meet State Academic Standards.

Title I Funds

Quest allocates Title I funds to recruit and retain a highly qualified Title I Director and trained paraprofessionals to design, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive, research-based academic intervention program. These personnel ensure services are aligned with Title I requirements and effectively support identified students in meeting challenging academic standards.
