I am thrilled to embark on teaching 7th-grade math this year and have been incredibly impressed by the progress I’ve seen students have make using the “Quest” approach to learning. I love that my students will be able to move through math at their own pace, being challenged at just the right level. As a math teacher, I strive to be a guide/resource for my students as they take ownership of their learning journey, fostering a growth mindset rather than simply imparting knowledge. I believe that the motivation cultivated in my students will propel them to achieve great success in the years to come. The logical thinking and problem-solving skills acquired through mathematics are invaluable abilities that extend far beyond the classroom.
With nearly two decades of teaching experience across diverse educational settings such as traditional, residential treatment, alternative placement, and Special Education, so have had experience in working with and catering to the unique needs of various student populations. Additionally, I have coached a range of sports at both the Junior High and High School levels.
Outside the classroom, I love spending time with family and friends, especially babies whom I adore. My favorite activities are traveling, reading, camping and playing games.
