Biography

My name is Yeraldin Zavala, and I am originally from Southern California. In California, I attended the University of California Riverside, where I graduated with my Bachelors in Fine Arts in English. I immediately returned to graduate school, and also received my Teaching Credential from the same university.

After marrying my wonderful husband, I packed up my stuff and relocated to Utah. I was very fortunate to have found Quest Academy on my journey to continue what I love doing most- teach! I have been a teacher for 7 years, and have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ELA. In my career, I also worked with new and experienced teachers as a mentor. This year I am excited to have a new experience and opportunity to teach 9th grade ELA as well.

Outside of school I love spending time with family and friends. This year, my husband and I will get to experience parenthood with the arrival of our newborn baby girl!

Life is full of adventures, and I am excited to take on this new journey both at Quest and in my personal life!
